'EMBRACE' - Rangi the sky father clings tightly to Papa the earth mother. No light could penetrate their embrace and many children lived in darkness until Tana the god of the forest had the strength to push them apart, sending Rangi upward high into the sky. This design shows Rangi and Papa in their tight embrace whilst the ring in the centre represents the world of light that only came to passing through their separation.
