About Us

Rich with a unique New Zealand ethos the team at Global Culture bring to you a range of garments that reflect life in New Zealand.

This year we turn 35. Already we have our own history. Our stores include Red Beech which came from a tree hundreds of years old – you can see the remains of the Pinhole Borer – tiny holes made when the tree was still alive and which eventually took its life. We have used famous Matai wood for the flooring and included Schist for our counters.

It is not only the environment, but beliefs, culture and encompassing what people feel passionate about that helps us find our place in the world.

This has become the basic concept of our T-shirt range. Although the origins of the T-shirt are shrouded in mystery, the purpose of the T-shirt is very clear today as a form of communication with a universal language..

"you can never be too rich, too cool or own too many T shirts".

We are influenced by our environment, understandably so, as New Zealanders we feel part of this land, the Aotearoa. We recognise it is the same worldwide.
