Using the good guys

in business is a game of balance. We do our best to balance quality, environmental impact, and price and we are always looking to improve. To do this we have aligned ourselves with suppliers we trust and who have similar values. We have a preference for those who operate ethically and are doing their bit like us to leave as small a footprint as possible on this cool planet. Some of our key suppliers include:


supply us with fabric. They are recognized as a global leader in natural fibre circular knit manufacturing. Their ambition is to create quality products with minimal environmental impact; by promoting responsible farming, cleaner manufacturing and utilizing the wonderful benefits of sustainable natural fibres.

They have a great record in significantly lowering the environmental impact normally associated with textile manufacturing and also for the use of sustainable products and practices. Ongoing projects are always taking place to reduce electricity, gas and water usage.

With a full on-site 5 stage water treatment plant, up to 85% of ABMT water is able to be reused, either back through the manufacturing process or via 3rd party recycled water programs for agriculture parklands and industry. They recently installed solar panelling which will reduce the use of electricity in their Factory.

AS Colour

supply us a range of plain T shirts and hoodies and we know they select their factories very carefully, seeking the best from around the world. They only work with factories that can assure auditable standards of safe, fair, legal and humane working conditions. Products that we purchase from AS Colour meet the following standards: Gold WRAP BSCI Oeko-Tex Fire and Safety Accord

Premium Apparel

supply us with a range of blank T-shirts from globally recognised brands such as Gildan and Anvil. Beyond making great quality products Gildan are positively changing how apparel is made. They have implemented leading environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices into every stage of their process. They incorporate WRAP, FIA and their own high ethical and compliance standards in all of their production facilities.

Weft Knitting

produce a range of knitwear. All of their product lines are knitted and made in a high technology knitting plant in Christchurch New Zealand. Merino and Possum merino accessory lines are an important part of their product range and are manufactured on "Whole Garment" machinery. Weft are reusing and recycling waste from the production of our product and have removed plastic from all of their products and processes.

DC Agencies

DC Agencies are a Christchurch based family business that sources all our fabric requirements and are our link with ABMT and OCC.  They have been our fabric sourcing partner for over twelve years and bring forty years' experience and knowledge of the fabric industry.  As we move to use organic and recycled materials their knowledge will be quite critical to the business.

OCC Apparel

offers our business a full hands-on solution to ethical apparel manufacturing and supply chain management. They assist us with sourcing our tees and fabric and production. Their Australian and international factories operate to impeccable fair trade and quality standards. With their support we bring together a team that delivers new levels of ethical values.

ABMT Apparel

provide us with design and manufacturing expertise and have become a valuable partner as our range grows.

Part of everything we sell goes to charity.

A part of every garment sold is donated to The Endangered Species Foundation and other causes working in that area of conservation who are protecting our endangered species
