Major Mitchell Kids T-Shirt

Not too many people get a lovely looking bird named after them. Sir Tom Mitchell a noted surveyor was the lucky one.

One of Australia’s first explorers of the inland, his bird Major Mitchell’s Cockatoo has plumage of delicate shades of pink as well as a colourful crest, making this species one of the more attractive cockatoos. It is spotted occasionally wearing the regimental colours honouring Major Mitchells Scottish heritage and army service.
